Thank you so much Hannah
for tagging gold&hearts for the 8 Photos of Happiness! We love having the chance to share our lives with y’all through tags and nominations like these. Picking only eight pictures was super difficult because we’re lucky enough to be #blessed with tons of joy and happiness in our lives. Here are the guidelines:
- Thank your nominator and link them in the post!
- Link to the creator (Ariel’s Little Corner of the Internet)
- Post your 8 photos of happiness (the photos can be anything that represents a moment, object, place, or feeling that makes you happy)
- Either choose to write a description of the photos + why they make you happy, or you can let the photos do the talking!
- Spread the happiness by tagging up to 10 other bloggers!
1. High School Friends
Kaylee and I have been friends for about 5 years now (thanks, Advanced Spanish II!). In that time, we’ve shared an amazing group of friends that have made us who we are today. We are all supportive of everyone’s weird quirks and habits. Even though only half of us went to college in Texas, reunions feel like nothing has changed.
There’s probably nothing better to me than screaming out your favorite song lyrics in unison with hundreds or thousands of strangers and the band that wrote them. My first concert was Hilary Duff at the Rodeo in the fourth grade, and now I’ve probably been to at least two concerts a year since then. If I didn’t like the planet so much, I’d quit college to work with bands and venues or something.
3. College Friends
In college, I’m so glad to fully be able to surround myself by so many diverse personalities. I have such a great support group with me. I’m so grateful that they have supported me from the first day of college all the way to Hong Kong and back.
4. Alpha Delta Pi
When I first joined ADPi, I didn’t think I’d end up loving it so much. I had a sinus infection during my first recruitment this past semester, and every day at least three of my sisters would offer me tissues or medicine or even to come over when the day was over! I love my little diamond sister and all the friends I’ve made not only through ADPi, but Greek life as a whole.
5. Phi Chi Theta
I’m a part of Phi Chi Theta (PCT), which is a business fraternity. I joined this fraternity on a whim with a friend, and it ended up being the best decision of my college career. Going to a big state school can be scary for someone who comes from a small private high school. Joining PCT made that transition a little bit easier. I can walk into classes on the first day of each semester and be welcomed with familiar faces.
Disneyland and Disney World don’t lie when they say they’re the happiest places on Earth. I visited Disneyland for the first time ever a couple weeks ago, and seeing Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in person was more magical than I ever thought it’d be. My favorite movies ever are Lilo and Stitch and Tangled, and I have more pairs of mouse ears than I’ll ever need.
7. My Boyfriend
Oliver has been my boyfriend for about 8 months now. I actually met him through PCT. His family is from England, but he grew up in Houston surprisingly close to my house. He’s about a year and a half older than me and loves being forced to watch Netflix with me.
8. Baylor University
I couldn’t have asked for a better school to attend. Despite the conservative environment, Baylor has given me the exact college experience I wanted: free Dr Pepper floats on Tuesdays and a winning football team. I’m kidding, kind of. I’ve met some of my favorite (and not so favorite) people at Baylor, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
That’s a wrap! If you’re still with us, here are the wonderful people we’d like to tag!
